Our Inauguration Day

Monday, January 19 ~ Albuquerque, New Mexico

Tuesday at noon ET, when Barack Obama is sworn in as the 44th president of the United States of America, it will not only be his inauguration but ours. It will be an inauguration for each of us willing to step into a new world with him.

If only 10 percent of us -- in this country and around the world -- leap across the threshold today into that new beginning saying "Yes, I can. Yes, we can," and if we not only believe it but act on it and live it, this country and this planet will be changed forever.

Are you part of that 10 percent? Are you ready to turn your back on fear? Are you ready to embrace all parts of you and of each other in love and respect? Are you ready to embrace possibility, hope and potential?

What can you do in your life today -- right now -- to anchor this new beginning? How can you embody your possibility and your potential?

Share it here. Then be it. Now.

Thanks, Mark for this post. I am looking forward to hearing the words of new hope from Pres. Obama, as I reflect on the dreams of ML King. I am ready to embrace change, abolish fear from my thoughts and actions, and begin to live anew in a new world that is seeking to express only love, joy and compassion. Peace to all and may 2009 hold all your highest dreams. www.lynnkoll.com

Good post, Mark...and a good question for each of us to answer. Here is my answer...

I'm going to embrace and embody my potential by using what gifts I have to build bridges, to wage peace, to build community one relationship at a time, to respect myself and my fellow beings and the world we live in and on, to be humble without false modesty, to speak truth with kindness, to be open to wonder, to joy, to awe. I will be a witness and live a testimony to the power of love.

And boy, do I have a lot of work to do!

Here's to it...may we all succeed in our highest intentions.

Peace,

Linda

Well , I see it as the best of times and the worst of times ... hope and possibility in a total mood of doom and gloom ... Good things happening simultanously with not so good things ... Embrace it all from all directions...Change works in mysterious ways and that's not a bad thing ultimately . This mix is an interesting way to look at the world without using judgement , Take it all in good and bad and sway it towards the good i guess )))

Ia: Yes, we can. In fact, we're the only ones who can. And we start in our own lives.

Autumn: Great declaration of intent! We all have much to do in our own lives. But let's not view it as work. How about we view it as creation, as play.

May: It's only in those periods of deepest doom and gloom that we need hope and possibility. So let's hold that resonance together, and together we will move into that place of possibility and potential, shedding our gloom along the way!

I say "yes" to your blog and to being a part of the evolution that's taking part on Mother Earth.

I'm active in a variety of teleseminars that link like-minded lightworkers from all parts of the planet. There seems to be a very tangible shift that has already happened.

What has been labeled as bad (economic situation, global warming, wars) are the precursors to something wonderful manifesting. We have to totally let go of the old in order to allow the new to come into being. Without irritation there would be no pearl.

I personally have been going through the darkest nights of the soul -- actaully the darkest years of the soul. Right now I'm unemployed, over 60, single and self-supporting and I'm facing eviction.

There is a blessing in this situation. I've past my current course on the school called planet earth because I have been totally living on trust. It's been rough!! But, either I trust God/Goddess/Source/Light or I don't. It's an all or nothing situation. Either you're pregnant or you're not. There is no middle ground.

As soon as I was willing to let go of my home (which was yesterday), things started to shift. I sent an email to friends and family asking if they knew of a place for me to live and I got responses from people I didn't even know. I was told about a job that will be perfect for me. I had a conversation with a "friend" that was long overdue. etc.

All this is a way of saying tha, in order to improve things on planet earth, we may have to go through some very challenging times. The results will be worth the discomfort. If we keep our eye on the prize, we'll all get throughthis and we'll create wonderful new structures on planet eart.

I'm eager to see what manifests.

Wishing you inner peace and limitless joy (no matter what your outer reality looks like)!

Regarding play versus work - we can call it anything you want, Mark. :) I am not bothered by calling it work; I like to work toward something, to build and create...and it IS play...they are one in the same to me. I like waht you say about thinking of it as creation...beautiful.

Autumn: It's great that "work" and "play" are synonymous for you. Unfortunately, many still view work as being difficult, laborious and a struggle — my only reason for offering that gentle correction!

JP: I've been through my own version of your experiences and agree with your attitude and approach. Sending you abundant blessings!
